Default How do you get nasty feet smell out of Birkenstocks?

I can't even wear them anymore, i can smell them when i am standing up and if you sniff them directly you will almost throw up. How do i get that smell out and get it back to the old leathery smell?

thanks,
matt

Default I've heard that freezing them kills the bacteria and the smell...

I've heard of people putting them in plastic bags and sticking them in the freezer for a day or so. It's worth a shot....

Default Wash your dirty granola feet & buy a new pair ya cheap bastard! 8^)

If they're that ****ing smelly, why would you even dare put your feet back into them.

By the way, all of my shoes suffer from this...from cheap DC's all the way up the line to my Prada's...but I usually wear them for 14 hours a day...I'm feeling sick just thinking about how many pairs I actually own.
