If you're speeding, and the cop loses line of sight to your vehicle, it should be over, right?
Unless he argues he saw your plate as you sped by, etc. (hard to believe, imho), how can he know that your car sitting at the base of the exit is the same car he was chasing on the highway before he lost sight of it?
"Did you see that other Nogaro Blue S4 that flew past me? You should really be chasing down dangerous drivers like him, officer."
cops don't care if they are right or wrong with any argument you can come up with. they are going to ticket you as they see fit. you can go take it up to the judge, which will most likely not be in favor of you anyways.

In PA if they arent w/i 300 feet while tailing you theyve got jack ****. Speaking from experience
i was caught getting off the turnpike several years ago at exit 4 after driving all the way from delaware very often reaching speeds of 120-140 in a P car and the cop that pulled me over was never close enough to actually give me a ticket. He was red as a tomato when he was yelling at me though lol,
