Default Least expensive to maintain: Audi vs BMW vs Mercedes vs Subaru

I already know that Audis are expensive to maintain once out of warranty. I would expect Subarus to be cheaper to maintain.

But what about BMW and Mercedes? Where do they fit in there? My guess is that Mercedes is the most expensive to maintain. No idea where BMW is.

Default I think Merc is including maintenance now, Audi and BMW don't. Subaru probably cheapest.

Default Sorry. I meant after warranty runs out. Looking at the 3-5 year old car option.

Default Didn't Audi just drop their free factory service/maintenance program?

I think BMW and Merc still have free service until 50 or 60k miles.

I'd say it goes something like this:
Subaru < BMW < Merc < Audi

Default Out of pocket, Subaru most likely. Parts/Labor should be a good deal cheaper.

Default Subaru > BMW > Audi > Mercedes....

Subaru is cheap, BMW a lot cheaper than everyone thinks (lots of cheap online parts sources), Audi shares a lot of parts with VW, Mercedes is the unknown variable for me, but thet are complicated, break a lot, don't share parts, and are usually the first to try unproven technology.
