Default Watch BT: How big is a 42mm bezel going to be? (other than "about 42mm")

I absolutely love the Archimede Pilot, but you can only get it in 42mm. My understanding is that's pretty large for a wristwatch. I really want the watch but I have fairly small wrists and don't want to look like I'm wearing a wall clock. What are some other watches (that I could go to a shop and try on) that are 42mm? Will 42mm look retarded on smaller wrists?

Default Measure your wrist and see where you're at......

...if you can handle all the pens jokes, I'd guess that this guideline might be helpful:

<6.5" wrist is probably too small for a 42mm watch
6.75">w>6.5" wrist is probably OK
6.75<wrist is totally normal.

FWIW I wear a 44mm Panerai and I feel that it's fine for me. It took some getting used to, but now I wouldn't wear anything under 40mm.

<a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/Yogimersible/AureliosBase.jpg">
my 44mm Panerai Base</a>

and here's a 42mm Baume & Mercier vs. a 44mm Panerai...as you can see, the thickness of the bezel (and the resulting size of the dial) makes a difference in how large the watch looks.

Default I think you'll be okay. I have thin wrists as well and I decided to buy a...

Seiko Orange Monster as my first somewhat large watch. Its 43mm x 13mm. My wrist is about 6.5 inches and it sits and looks great.
