This is the original Tow bar hitch for the Audi Allroad. I had it installed in my 2003 avant a6, so yes, it will fit the avant, but you will have to cut underneath the back bumper for the hitch to come out (no, you won't see the cut).
This is the original thing that was sold only in Europe. Costed over 1000 dollars only to bring it in. All the hardware to install is there. You will be able to pull a 3500 lbs trayler.
