........that Audi was too stupid/cheap to include in the price of the car. Sorry, this is one of my pet peeves. I bought one for my /15 A6 3.0T right after I took delivery. Oil level checked through MMI -- truly an answer to a question no one asked. Nice 40,000 long term test wrap up of Porsche Cayman S in March Car and Driver -- would have been a better experience for Car and Driver if the Cayman had a dipstick. If you have a Q5 that is missing a dipstick and this one fits buy it -- bargain at twice the price!

To add a bit of context here -- Car and Driver had a Porsche Cayman on long term test. The oil level sensor indicated low oil condition on a number of occasions prompting addition of oil. Subsequently the "computer" indicated an overfill condition. Dealer pulled a couple of quarts of oil out of the engine to bring it back to proper fill level. All that hassle would have been avoided if the car came equipped with the high tech piece of equipment that flybooey has for sale. Sometimes old school rules.
