Default JHMotorsports Tune...Stay away!

Hi guys
I am an owner of a 2008 S5 and I purchased about a year ago the famous JHM tune.

The only thing that this tune gave me was issues which I am still chasing and asking JHM to resolve.

The tune revealed a "gap" in the 2000-2500 rpm range and the car stalls for a split second. After many weeks of chasing them around (sending them videos and log files) they finally send me an update which not only didn't fix the issue but caused another one! Idle is playing up at the cold start. So the next circle of chasing started. I have send them logs for the last 2 months and the only thing I am getting from them whenever they reply is "I will check and let you know"

I am ditching their crappy software and go somewhere local as its cheaper.
I am also going to report them to the US Federal Trade Commission and try to get my money back.
If someone is in disbelief I have the emails with their replies to prove it.

I just wanted to share my experience with the forum so you can be aware of their horrible tune and their horrible customer service.

JHM contacted me and they will process refund. An explanation was given that they discovered more issues with the OEM software and there is no ETA on a fix

Sounds like the only issues they have with the OEM software is how to tune it haha.

Good to hear it is going to all work out for you. Some local german specialty shops do a very good job to take care of their customers, and you might be able to get a dyno tune that is very strong.
