Hey everyone. I own a 2012 A7. I currently run an intake and RaceChip. Easy mods that I can remove before bringing my car in for service so they won't void my warranty. I really want a cat back exhaust. But, knowing how strict my dealer is they had already told me that an aftermarket exhaust would void my warranty. My dealer is so strick they try ed to void my warranty for a subwoofer I added lol. Is there any option for me I was looking into swapping the a7 exhaust for an s7. Do u know if they would void my warranty for that. I emailed and talked to the dealer and he doesn't have an answer for me. Called up Audi USA and they told me to speak to my local dealer lol. any advice would be great. Thanks

The mod warranty question comes up in the AW forums more times than I can count. The simple answer (for the U.S.) is your car's warranty cannot be voided except for the modded parts and any problem that Audi can show is caused by the mod itself. Ask your dealer to read the Audi warranty booklet and the federal Magnuson-Moss Act.

I read up on all the warranty policies. They have some type of letter they send out to you listing everything that can void the power train warranty. Tunes, intakes, exhaust, chips etc. The local dealer wouldn't even bring my car in when they saw I had an intake. They told me to remove it or they won't service my car and they will have my warranty voided. I removed all the mods had on and then the service my car. I called Audi USA and they told me that every dealer deals with modifications differently

A dealer or an AOA rep cannot set or change a warranty. Find a different dealer that is more mod friendly.

NY is horrible with modified warranties. Especially audi.
