Default 2015 Q3 MMI Version

I have been reading that the 2015 Q3 uses an older generation MMI that could be soon replaced or updated (perhaps starting in 2016). The interface looks similar to the new A3's MMI, which is (as I understand it) the latest version of Audi's MMI system.

Do you know which generation/version of MMI is available in the 2015 Q3?

You know, you're absolutely right. It appears to be the same RNS-E unit that's in my 2011 A3. If you look at some interior pics of the new A3, you'll see the updated, large, round MMI controller on the console, obviously missing in the Q3. That is unfortunate.

Audi drives me crazy. I had a 2009 R8 manual and wanted a DSG but they only offered the R-tronic for many years until finally redesigning for the S-tronic. Grrrrrrrrr
