Our leases will end in January '17, and we will be trading our S5 Coupe for an S5 Cab. We will need a more practical car, and I'm seriously considering a Q3. I read in one online review that the sound system was "bargain basement", but I see it is a Bose Surround Sound system. We have that in our G37 convertible, and while it doesn't rival the B&O in the S5 it isn't bad. I went to the Audi site to build a Q3 and don't see an option for an upgrade. (Or maybe the Bose system is the upgrade.) For you Q3 owners out there, how is the sound system?

Not one person has an opinion on the Q3 sound system?

I have the Bose; (2016 Q3 Prestige) and I would say that it is at least the equal of the Bose in my recently traded 2012 A6! I'm thinking that the interior dimensions of the q3 is more conducive to the propagation of bass waves. (Take that with a grain of salt)!

Hello, I am a new Audi Q3 owner,;just sold my 12 yr old C240.

The Bose sound system in my Prestige has 12 speakers and a sub woofer in the spare tire chamber. The MMI allows me to adjust the sound surround effect and also adjust the image from entire car to front or rear.
I listen to a lot of jazz and loaded the jukebox with quite a few vocalists. The Bose system does a nice job for acoustic instruments and voices, but your tastes may vary.

We absolutely loathe the sound system on our 2015 Q3 (not prestige/bose). In our opinion, it is hideously bad to the point of being offensive. No amount of tweaking with treble/bass fixes it. It's an offensive, tin-can sound that is easily the worst sound system in any car I've ever had. YMMV!

I'm no audiophile, and I have 60 year old ears, so with those caveats out of the way: I think the Bose system is fabulous.

I have not complaints about the Bose system in our 2016 Q3 Prestige. Sounds great to my ears!

I have a 2016 Premium Plus with Bose. Sounds decent, not fabulous, but good enough.
