One of my biggest pet peeves with my 2016 Q3 was that the mirrors would not fold automatically when the car is locked (Like they do on the Q5). I bought the Carista App + OBD adapter and asked Carista to program this functionality. They were happy to oblige! The mirrors now fold automatically when the door handle is held or the remote is used to lock the car:

Thanks for sharing it! I happened to just order their OBD adapter and I'm sure I will try this when I receive it.
I'm wondering if there are more hidden configurations that are not available through MMI console like this.

I enjoy the following additional hidden configurations for the Q3:
-Remote window + sunroof open/close
-Interior footwell lighting
-Needle sweep
-Emergency braking flashing brake lights

A4 and Q5 have more features to play with, but there is enough for the Q3 to make it worthwhile!

When you say you asked Carista and they obliged, was this a custom feature that you needed to contact for or was it something that was native in their app?

I sent them an email asking them to add this feature. They programmed it into the beta app, where I was able to test it. I let them know that this feature worked, but I am not sure if it is out of beta yet.

Thank you, I had contacted them as well and they did provide me with the beta program. I finally had an opportunity to do it last night and it works great.

Arguably VAG COM is more complex but the time and money was just too much for me. Carista worked flawsly.
