Default Audi Q5 Pull Back/Surge/Shudder after 120kph

I am a new member from the beautiful South Africa, and firstly would like to say Hi to everyone

I have an Audi Q5 3.0TDI and have been having a problem when driving 120kph and above, especially on uphills, where the car would give a pull back/surge/Shudder every now and again...Sorry this is the best I could explain the problem...I tried changing it to manual but still get the same problem. Audi have had my car for over 6 months, they have changed the gearbox, engine mountings, tyres, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, ecu mappings changes, changed diesel suppliers, used diesel 50ppm & 10ppm, used diesel cleaners, no faults reported on the system even when driving with the laptop plugged in and the problem surfaces...Is there anyone that has had similar problems, or can guide me on what the problem could be as it looks as though Audi is running out of ideas on what the problem could be?

Thanx.

Sounds like you might have a Lemon. If Audi has had your car that long i'd start looking into a buy back. Have never experianced that issue with mine. Sounds like they have tried everything to solve the issue...At this point, time to move on.

Hope you can resolve this issue one way or another.

Default Need more info for starters...

Which year is it? And which tranny--six or eight speed? Or I suppose even a stick? Here in the USA as 2014's they would all be 8 speed ZF quattro autos as TDI's, but in other markets for older ones I suppose they might have been six speeds. The eight speeds in general have had some teething issues over the years with shifting quality across many models, leading ZF and Audi to tweak the programming but not for the more serious shuttering type stuff you mention. There is a shuttering issue on many six speed ZF's, at least the higher torque ones, but before going further, we should at least know which tranny and year.

I really enjoy the car, so don't want to get rid of it unless no one can sort this problem out, which is my last resort. The Q5 is a 2009 model, and has a 6 Speed S-Stronic gearbox...

Sorry but if it has a 6-speed, it's Tiptronic . S-tronic has a 7-speed
