2010 Q5 - Experience?
My 2010 Q5, with 70k miles has been mostly trouble free. I've had some problems with coolant leakage and suspension, nothing major, but I wonder if I'm reaching a milage milestone and should start looking for a replacement.
To those with a similar year Q5, but with similar or more milage, how's been your experience? Issues? Things to look for? Suggestions?
Thanks,
MJC

Sorry for the late reply. I don't get on these forums all that often.
I have 188,000 miles on my Q5 (2010 3.2). All is well. Throughout its life, I have changed the following things:
DRL (warranty)
Water pump (warranty)
electric door lock motors (I think 3 out of the 4 doors have been changed)
Fuel pump gasket
front suspension control arms (rubber bushings were bad - I guess they don't replace just the bushings, cheaper to replace the whole part)
Shocks
rear hatch close button
and of course standard maintenance items: Oil changes, tires, brakes, rotors, windshield wipers, filters, and spark plugs.
I have been very happy with my car. I plan on keeping it a while longer, but have started to think about what I will buy next.
Overall, maintenance has been very affordable, and it is nice to not have car payments. Even somewhat major expenses are less than new car payments. If at some point, the car starts costing me more in service/maintenance than what a new car payment would be, that is when I will get something new. At this point, I figure value of the car is very low whether it has 190,000 miles or 250,000 miles.
