Default Back- up Camera

I just received an email from my dealer that the back-up camera module will be in within 6 weeks. Picked up my 2012 Q5 in July.

We picked up our MY11 in June, sans chip, but no e-mail yet here.

Taking 2012 Q5 in tomorrow for dealer to "enable" camera. Dealer voicemail mentioned "code". I will update tomorrow with details after camera is working.

Any details?? Curious as to what they did to enable this. My dealer has scheduled me for the same thing for my Q7. He definitely mentioned a part that needs to be installed. Wondering how much of this vehicle they need to take apart (if anything) to add this module?

Default Feel Your Pain Dawg

Business case says put 'em on the MY12s first so they don't create more unhappy owners than they already have.

That said, a post elsewhere in this forum reported that dealers are to be sending letters (presumably to MY11 owners) next week regarding chip installs this month.

We shall see.

Service rep told me today that letters are going out now and that the module will be available sometime in December.
