The dealer installs vibration dampening material, but it is outrageous that i can outfit my entire media room in my house for the amount Audi charges for B&O and it is not audiophile perfect.
I agree that B & O should be better quality and that the dealer does charge too much, but you stated $6k for B&O.....where did you get that price? I show it as $850.00 on the invoice.

It varies by vehicle model. The more the ride, the more the B&O.

$850.00 for Q5 Cheap Chinese production

A real B & O system:

- Bang & Olufsen® Advanced Sound System $5,900 for A7

- Bang & Olufsen® Advanced Sound System with 19 speakers and 1,400 watts $6,300 for A8

It sounds like even the "Advanced" sound systems leave a lot to be desired despite their higher price tag.

$850 is pretty affordable, but $6k can buy a very nice aftermarket component system, so I'd be hesitant it committing to those systems.

I had the opportunity in a test model RS7 to listen to music with the B&O system - it is perfection, the best sound I've ever heard in a car

Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System for Audi - YouTube
If it is anything like that promo video, I bet it's phenomenal, but all of AUDI's promo videos make me think that of their products.

One thing is for sure, ...Audi has a really great video production team.

1. This is not AUDI's promo videos, but it is a B&O - Audi - Bang & Olufsen

2. Ask your dealer for test system Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System, then you will realize what do I write

3. This is Audi promo video:

By luck I saw this and said "I had that problem", Well ****, its my thread. LOL. Mine was fixed by a dealer software update. I don't have any documentation on the update but I remember it was like it fully reset my radio. All my presets were gone and my 'unlimited' Sirius SM, through some loophole they never caught, ended.

I do not have the B&O system. Just the MMI3+ (i think)
Hope this helps. Haven't had an issue since, still drive it every day.

Brand new 2023 S3 is doing this. Drives me nuts, especially with talk radio and podcasts, which is 95% of what I listen to when driving. I've resorted to almost exclusively listening to music at high volumes to drown out the pops. Extremely disappointed, as this is my first Audi and I've been dreaming of owning one for so long. Just crazy that these expensive vehicles are doing this with zero recourse after all these years. I absolutely love the car in every other way, but the pops ruin the experience. I'll be taking this into the dealer soon to document the issue (not expecting any sort of resolution). Looks like I'm going to be lemon lawing this thing.
