Update applied this afternoon. It took about 20 mins. Car felt completely unchanged - as you'd expect. Steve

I got mine updated today. Out of the curiosity, I asked the technician about the update. He did not know much besides the description. But, he suggested that most likely the fix was to extend the failure thresholds as Audi usually does. If that is the truth, then the sensor will still fail but just at a lower temperature than before.

I had a 1st year Lexus IS250 and my power steering went out just as I was pulling onto the interstate. Luckily, I was only a few miles from the dealer at the time. With this and 2 recalls they sent me an iPod for the troubles which were pricey at the time.

Haven't received the letter yet but had my steering sensor fix done as well. Unfortunately it took almost all day but as noted previously, no difference in steering feel.
