Haven't seen any change, personally, so it's still looking like it's likely late 2016 as a MY2017. And they've been planning (and building) the Puebla facility for a while now, so it's 100% going to be built in Mexico. Curse the popularity over here.
As for what to do with yours, it all depends on you and what you're looking for. Seems like you don't drive it much and you've already got a facelift, so seems like it'd be worth holding onto unless you really wanted an S or TDI (something that wasn't available until 2014).

Thanks for the input. I'm in no rush at this point because I'm happy with my 3.0T. I just want to have all the info to figure out what's best financially. I had a 2 year old 3.2L that I traded for the 3.0T. Made a deal to pay nothing and keep my monthly payment the same. I really just extended the payment - and got the face lift and new motor.

First post on AudiWorld and I'm bumping an old thread...
I drove an SQ5 over the weekend and made my decision. It's amazing. I planned on ordering a 2015 wanting to avoid the possibility of getting batch #1 from the new Mexican plant.
But the Audi sales guy said that the new plant was no where close to production and 2016 SQ5's would definitely be German cars made in Germany.
And... the build sheets would be out May/June... so I could order a 2016 in a few months.
Does this sound right? I'm in no hurry to buy.

I am waiting for April and then putting in a order for 2016 since I get supplier 6% off pricing the discount of getting of a later 2015 and early 2016 are the same.
So far I am ordering
Volcano Red or Phantom Black
Tech Package
B & O
Carbon Inlays
HGB
21 inch rooms because of the HGB
Rear Air Bags

The salesman said that he expected to see the 2016 Q5 build sheet mid April... so that matches the timing last year.
