Press the fan and adjust the passenger side then adjust the driver. The driver would be the master and control both regardless. Once you change it on the passenger side, the sync is broken

You can only change the temperature but not the fan speed.

Reason: exists only one motor for fan

I think there's only one "fresh air blower" (as Audi refers to it) so separate control driver/passenger really isn't possible. If you mean the temperature setting, do as jack-e-son said and change the passenger side and it will break the synch.

I think they might have removed this feature after the first round of interior changes on the b8. I remember my 2009 B8 A4 having two fan adjustment buttons - one for driver, one for passenger. The 2013 Q5 I have now only has one fan adjustment button.

At the same time, they did away with the 6 way adjustable heated seat adjustment from the climate control console to a single button with only three settings.

True to MY2009-2012, for A4,A5, Q5 there are two fan adjustment buttons - one for the driver, one for passenger but the function is the same.
You do not have different speed fan possibilities because only one blower
