Default acceleration issues

Hi all, I own a 2011 Q5 2.0t Premium Plus with 62k that's currently started experiencing a hiccup or stutter when down shifting while driving. It's only apparent in higher gears (4+), feels like a bump in a road and it only happens when I punch it in "D" , accelerating at a fast pace (+3k rpm). As long as I don't drive aggressively, it's not a problem, but the moment I punch it to get around someone, it's very apparent.

No idea, replaced the spark plugs, air filter, cleaned the MAF. It feels like a misfire, but no check engine light comes on. Next step is to take it in to a shop to diagnose. Any takers on what the problem could be?

Did you try to clean the injectors?

It might be carbon clean time.

2014 A7 3.0T Prestige with 20,000 miles. Has sporadic acceleration issue either from a stop or accelerating at low speeds, say 20 to 30 mph. It is like the accelerator is disconnected. Scary part is from a dead stop no movement to head jerking shot forward. Has done this five or ten times since bought car in Sept of 2013. Going to dealer next week. They are unaware of this being an issue with the 14 A7.

Have them make sure there is enough tension on the belt.... sounds like a belt slippage issue, which can be easily adjusted with the tensioner.

Just an update. Took of the intake manifold and cleaned the black carbon build up caked all over the intake valves/manifold. 2 of the 4 intake ports had a good several millimeters caked on top of the valves themselves. So I imagine I was losing a good 20-30% air, especially at high rpms. Replaced the plugs, intake manifold gasket, drained the oil and thoroughly scrubbed the injectors.

End result was a much better throttle response and so far I have not been able to repeat the acceleration problem. Now it might be time to ping Audi on the oil consumption issue. It's slowly started to get worse. 1 qt per 1k.

well my 2.0T A4 seemed to go the same route. The cleaning helped for a little while until I started consuming about 1qt to 600 miles. Then the did the piston overhaul. That helped again only temporary.
Dealer advised me to keep the "complimentary" quart of oil in my trunk. That got old fast and I traded it in.
The other way I noticed besides oil consumption - was on the MPG. Seemed like my car took a huge hit on MPG while I was burning oil.

"2 of the 4 intake ports had a good several millimeters caked on top of the valves themselves."
For a new car with that little mileage, that's not right. I don't know if we have a PCV system throwing crap back into the intake or what...but something is wrong if that much is building up in there so quickly.

It's direct injection. Totally normal (but still annoying) at those miles.
