Active Lane Assist Retrofit In Progress - Need Help
Hello!
I am now onto my next retrofit project! I am going to attempt to retrofit Active Lane Assist. I have acquired all but 1 item needed for the retrofit and I'm hoping some of you coding gurus can shed some light on this for me.
I acquired the new turn signal switches with the Active Lane Assist button on the stalk. It has been installed and 16 - Steering Wheel has been coded to reflect it. This was a tricky one because VCDS displayed the check box to enable lane assist but then the system was giving an error for the vibration motor in the steering wheel. MY13>Current no longer uses the motor. I cross referenced another VCDS scan from a 2013 Q5 with Lane Assist and found there was a bit that is not displayed in Long Coding that needed to be enabled. Once enabled the system took the error away.
I acquired the Active Lane Assist camera for the windscreen and hooked it up to the CAN system. I coded the camera based on my vehicle (Q5, Only USA, Without Adaptive Suspension/With Adaptive Cruise)
I am getting an error that the windscreen heater is not connected - This is okay as I have not changed the windscreen yet.
I am getting an error that the module does not have basic settings/adaptation - This is okay as I will be calibrating it later.
I am getting an intermittent signal/communication error with 46 Central Convenience and 13 Auto Dist. Reg. - These are confusing me as there are no documented bits within these modules to reflect Active Lane Assit.
And most importantly I am getting an error that the control module is incorrectly coded.
Would anyone with a 2014 or 2015 Q5 be able to pm me with a VCDS scan that I can use for comparison or if anyone has any information that you might think is useful I would greatly appreciate it. When all is done I will be doing a full writeup with photos.

I found the problem. The 5th digit needed to be a "3" as I have both Advanced Key Authorization and Navigation. Active Lane Assist uses the following coding structure for the facelift Q5:

I already created a vector copy of the VAS 6430 (Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Calibration Board) in Adobe Illustrator. Its at the printing business right now being printed on their large printer. Calibration is all thats needed to verify it works. Once it works I will then change the windscreen. DIY is on the way!
