Default airplane engine noise at 40mph+?

I have a new Audi Q5 2.0T and notice what sounds like an airplane engine-like whine/hum that starts when I hit 40mph and increases with speed, no correlation with pushing the gas pedal or hitting brakes. No shaking or vibrations. Is this just a normal turbo engine sound? I've read about wheel bearings, but there doesn't seem to be any grinding or vibrating and the noise is very steady. Thank you!

Driveshaft?

Do you have crossbars on the roof rack?

Make sure all the windows are completely closed and door trim/weatherstripping is in place.

When you hear a dentist drill, it is your turbo, but it would make nose all the time not jsut at 40mph, it would do it anytime it is spooling.
