Default American Q5 (copycat) doppelganger??

Is it me, or does the new Lincoln MKC look A LOT like the current Q5? From the side and back, especially?? The front, not so much (terribly ugly IMO)...

But, seriously...someone at Lincoln has spent a lot of time looking at/studying the Q5. #yourenotfoolinganyonelincoln

Many of the reviews have pointed out how their clamshell tailgate is similar to the Q5.

Nice looking CUV, it should do well for Lincoln. They need it.

Or an Infiniti, or a Kia, or....Funny how they all seem to look alike these days. And how double=spoke wheels come on everything now too. Isn't it?

I will give them a good deal of credit for trying, but the understated refinement is sorely missing. Overworked in most aspects - like a bedazzled jean pocket. It will appeal to a wide audience.

I think it's a big step in the right direction for Lincoln. It's attractive from all angles and it would appear that a lot of thought went in to it. The fact that it's based on the Ford Escape is even more amazing. They did a good job of hiding the DNA.

Interesting...the 2015 Lincoln MKC has already been recalled for bubbles in the windshields.
