My experience was with Volvo XC90, LR2 and Q5- each time I had to remove the aftermarket pads and get new rotors and factory or OES (Textar for Audi) pads to get the "normal" braking feel back.
Now every time I wash Q5, I use "wheel protector" spray from autozone - it helps to prevent the dust from binding to the rims.

I have been trying the armor all wheel protectant
on the 996 rims but have not yet tried it on these Stasis that I just installed. Have you tried Armor All and do you think the AutoZone stuff works better?
Tried ceramic pads from Akebono, EBC, Hawkes- they all felt "almost" as good as OEM in the beginning, but after ~10K miles I felt that the braking required a lot more pressure on the pedal and was not as effective. All pads were installed w/ new rotors (Zimmermans or OEM).

It is called "wheel protector", do not confuse with "tire protector" sprays which come in many variations from many manufacturers.
