I thought I was being nice, and took my husband's truck key in along with my set to get the batteries changed at the watch place. Got home, neither key would work...we ended up setting off the alarm, and were getting ready to head to the dealer, but thank goodness we checked and realized that they had just put the batteries in upside down! So frustrating...

Thanks for this knowledge! We won't look like idiots next time....

Audi Key Question

Does the Audi Key Battery Recharge itself when used
in the Dash?

Or does the Battery have a life wear like any battery ?

Help would be great .

The answer is NO, because the model of these batteries are not rechargeable

How long have you been using this fob where the battery was dead?
Did you receive a 'notice' on your dash telling you the battery was going low/dead? (My hubbys MSP3 does so wonder if our Q5's do...)
