audicare maintenance interval
Hi everyone,
I have question regarding audicare in USA.
My Q5 has audicare and have already received the first 5000 miles service for free. The sticker they put on my car says 10,000 miles/1year is the next service I need to come in for. However, if my information is correct, audicare starts at 15000, 25000, 35000, and 45000 am I correct?
If I am correct, then is the dealer shop going to charge me for 10000 mile service? Also, is 10000 mile service required?
What is the correct interval on which I need to service my car for maintenance?
Is it 5000, 10000,15000, 25000, 35000, 45000? Or does 10000 mile not count?
Thank you so much for your help!

Exactly. Mainly shady places like JiffyLube put on stickers in order to drum up more business through more frequent service visits, which sounds like what this particular dealer is doing.

My overall take on service intervals is that the oil will certainly be effective at 10k miles use or 1 year, unless you're in really harsh temperature conditions. If you're worried, get it done at 5k and consider oil analysis. AudiCare will not cover your change at 5k miles no matter if the stealership recommends it or not.

No. The sticker is always at what mileage they recommend your next service. Audi says you can do next service at 15k but the dealership wants you to think you need an oil change earlier. I mean they've gotta steal money some how to keep up their stealership credibility.
My dealer did the 10k sticker thing after my 5k service. I threw it out immediately.

I had our 1 year service done a while back and no sticker from the dealer. We don't drive the Q5 too much so I'll get the service done at the time recommendations vs. mileage (No Audi Care).
