Sounds like an awesome deal. Anyone want to split a 55-gal drum of QSUD?

I got the Pennzoil Euro for about $3/qt last time.

Default aint the best oil for sure

I ran 10 000 km (6kmiles) on 2 oil change of quaker state ultimate dura 5w30 synth (5000km or 3k miles each change) and its crap. My engine started to make some sound at around 6000km ( so second oil change) when accelerating like little knocking sound. I use mann filter and i have 1.8t quattro 04. Just switched to royal purple 5w30 did 20km and no more knocking or very little.

I don't see a royal purple anything on the approved VW/Audi oil list.

And quaker state ultimate durability 5w30 is not on that list either. tromatis should not be calling it crap if he used the wrong oil for the application.

I once got sick after eating the worm in the tequila bottle but I didn't blame the worm.

In other words, it's best to follow the Tequila brand recommendation to not eat the worm, correct?
