"Comfort Entry"
Porsche has a feature called 'Comfort Entry' whereas the driver's seat goes back when the driver door is opened. It makes getting in & out so much easier. The SQ5 side bolsters make entry and exit difficult if you can't swing the door fully open. Furthermore it would cut down on the bolster wear by not having to 'slide' across it all the time.
Audi (I think) knew that entry/exit would be a problem so they addressed it by 'flattening' the steering wheel bottom.
Anyone know if that mode is hidden somewhere in Audi coding or can it be 'hacked' to perform that function.
ps. Our SQ5 is now just over a week old and besides getting used to the MMI and this (minor) seat question we're pleased w/ it. We did add WeatherTech mats all around and an oil 'dip stick' (based on forum feedback).

Don't know about hacking the driving ergo memory settings, but you could set one driving position memory button for an egress/ingress mode and the other button for your driving position. The flat bottom steering wheel is an affectation from racing vehicles and is a comfort/ergo mod due to the almost straight position of the wheel in race cars. Release your steering wheel adjustment lever and move the wheel all the way down and telescope it towards the instruments so your arms are almost straight. That used to be the racing norm for steering position.
It's much more of a "sporty look" in a street car than the normal round wheel. We need full lock-to-lock motion in our street car.
