Have now had our new 15 Q5 for a day and I cannot seem to figure out how to disable the alarm motion sensor.

On our 08 A4 there was a button on the drivers side door (see image below) that you could engage before locking the door. This was great for the ferry (which we take a few times per month) as the rocking didn't set the alarm off.

I have not located this button nor have I located anything in the manual.

Is there a way to do this on the Q5?

I actually read through the central locking system in the manual (and just did again now) and there is no mention of this. Must be somewhere else that I am not seeing it.

Will check the door in any event - appreciate the response!

Re-checked the manual again - no mention of this. Check of the driver door shows no button as posted in the picture.

I can't see this being an option (mine is loaded in any event). Thoughts?

responder is from Bosnia and Herzegovina..Likely one of those things on Euro spec models and not on US models..

I checked my 15 Q5 driver door jam..No switches at all..I can't even find any info in the owner's manual on the alarm system

The possibility that you do not have internal motion sensor

Thanks for confirming. I have sent an email to the dealer about it. When I forgot to hit the switch on my A4 the alarm would always go off on the ferry. Will be extremely frustrating if I can't adjust the Q5 to not go off.

Ok, so heard back from Audi Canada. They advise that the motion sensor button is no longer equipped on the new Audi vehicles as the alarm system has been altered to no set off on various inclines, like on the ferry.
