Thanks,

I thought that the non S-Line rear bumpers had this removable panel also. Can someone on this board confirm?

You have more info about this lip/bracket? I can't find it.

Thnaks again!

Once you remove the felt from inside the wheel well (of the rear wheel), the 'lip' or 'plastic bracket' that the lower bumper is hooked right behind there and pretty evident.

Good Luck!

Unfortunately not, the non s-line bumpers have to be trimmed. If you search through the forum you'll find others that have installed hitches on non s-line's.

Where did you got this info? I checked in Workshop repair guide and torque for original bolts seem to be 30 ft-lbs (40 Nm). Black bolts that come with Audi hitch are 44 ft-lbs (60 Nm).

Thanks again!

Standard bolts: 30 ft-lbs (40 Nm)

High grade bolts: 44 ft-lbs (60 Nm)

Torque spec quoted was the revised specs from the Execuhitch folks. I assume they checked prior to updating, but that is an assumption on my part.

Maximum torque for a standard M10 bolt is 37 ft-lbs dry. See Metric Bolt Torque Table - CNCexpo.com. So you probably damaged you bolts with 60 ft-lbs.

The Audi hitch comes with 10.9 class bolt (part number N10012402) with a maximum dry torque of 53 ft-lbs. Audi specification for those is 44 ft-lbs.

Do you have to use the included nuts to install the 2 extra bolts? If so, how do you hold the nuts?

HAHAHA! Hopefully, you understood that I was wondering how the nut can be reached.
