So, drove through Atlanta this week, and stopped by to get this hitch installed. Took an afternoon, but they were very pleasant and afterwards my wife kept saying 'where is it'? :-)

Now to plan a trip to pick up some decorative stone items that we have been looking at. The hitch cost about the same as shipping them, a bit more than renting a truck one way. The 'training' session on its use was about 2 minutes (would have been a trifle longer if they had not had it up on a lift). Here's a pic of the install, ready to put it all back together.

Sorry, having a hard time figuring out what you mean. I simply installed the nuts onto the bolts. What am I looking at in the pic?

I did mine yesterday. I'm very satisfied with the product. Well done.

Hi All,

Was there a precut opening on the SQ5 valence for the receiver to go into or did you have to cut it yourself?

My SQ5 has a panel in the rear bumper, secured with a couple of screws that covers the opening for the hitch. When the accessory is not installed, the panel is and you cannot tell that the hitch is on the vehicle.

I went to the Execuhitch web site and did not even see Audi listed. Is it similar to the hidden hitch for the Porshce?

Hi tgt,
What are you towing if you don't mind me asking, how much weight?

Does the Q5 have any issues towing?

I am looking at purchasing the Q5 TDI for the torque and fuel economy while towing, but there doesn't seem to be very many people using this vehicle to tow. Difficult to get information

Thanks

What???
There are lots of threads from folks towing with their TDI's.
From bike racks to motorcycle trailers.
From Caravans to mothers in law.
Just use the search feature.

I don't tow much at all with it honestly (in regards to weight), I have a Q7 or tahoe for heavier loads. The Q5 is mostly a 14 ft aluminum trailer with a couple of Quads on it (so probably 1500-1800 lbs?), and it's done that probably 3 times tops.

Hope that helps,
tgt
