Driver Visor light not lit
I swap all the interior lights with tunerdomes' LED kit and when I get down to the last one which is the visor light on the driver side. But it does not lit up, I tried to reverse the bulb and even put back the original bulb it still won't lit. I see no code on the console.
Any idea?
Thanks
Phil

Excuse me for asking but have you tried multiple times slide open the mirror cover
FYI there is no monitoring internal lighting, only for exterior lighting, so you can not see any code

New finding: It did work --- but it only lit when the visor is tilt down like 45 degree and it will stop when it is almost 90 degree. I check the passenger side that seems to be lit with a wider range. I am think may be I clipped some wire in the console area as there are quite a few cables there. Again, I am not a mechanic/Auto savvy guy but trying to have some fun and sometimes I am not sure if I had it correctly installed or not.
Another thing that bother me a little bit is the first time I drove the car off the garage the MMI did not come up for a good 20 seconds but then it seems to be back to norm again... should I be worry about that?
Thanks.
Phil

Owner's manual is your friend
Stop when it is almost 90 degree, which is normal because then the mirror is not in the function

The issue is the light only turn on at a very narrow tilt angle. I am a short guy so I have to sit straight up to look into the lighted visor mirror, if I swing the visor down a little the light will goes off.

Funny you should bring this up because I may be having the same issue. Here is my scenario:
With the visor all the way up the light is off. (As it should be)
As I tilt it slightly downward, the light will turn on. As I tilt it further, the light will go back off even before I am able to see myself in the mirror. The arc that the light stays on is very small, and I would almost have to be looking in from the sunroof to see myself in the mirror. (with light on)
I have had my 2013 since October of 2012 and it took me almost 2 years to discover this so obviously its not a big issue with me, but if there is a switch on a pendulum (?) inside there it is definitely out of adjustment.
The passenger side is working in a much wider range.

Markmo, that is exactly my problem. So did you replaced all the interior lights? Anyway, I am not the type of guy that keep checking my ugly face all the time so the visor light does not bother me so much and I will leave it the way it is....

No, I hadn't done anything to the car. I just happened to be sitting in there one day and playing with some of the controls. When I noticed the "quirk" with the drivers side visor I immediately checked the passenger side and found it working more like normal. It took me 22 months to discover this so obviously its not that important to me, but I may mention it at my next oil change. I drive the Q5 approx. 5000 miles a year so the next oil change may not be until October 2015.
