I had this happen to me today but didn't experience any actual issues with the engine. I called the dealership and they suggested I pull over and have it towed. I made it home with no experience of any issue except the glowing flashing light.

I'm having it towed in tomorrow to the dealership.

My fuel is down to about the final 1/4. After getting home I turned it on two different times tonight and both times the car appeared to be fine with nothing flashing...

Update on the situation.

Few weeks after the initial post, I'm starting to experiencing flashing glow plug light with auto start-stop failure messages while the car functions normally.

2 days ago I did the 25k service, which I told the SA about my experience regarding the events, they didn't found anything. Until this afternoon that is, coming to a stop and it happened again.

Took to the dealer, did a quick scan and came back with "Engine Control Module: Fuel Pump Failure" code. Tech suggested a depth check and looks like I'll be on a loaner for a while.

If it is related to the HPFP I doubt the car is even drivable.

I am not sure if this is a wide-spread issue or just selected few... wish me luck!
