FOB Question
Hi all,
My mom gave me her 2010 Audi Q5. The fob seems unable to work despite changing the battery. I've read online that I can take the silver key part out of the fob and stick it in the door while the fob is in the ignition, turn the key, and that will re-sync the fob. However, when I take the silver key out of the fob, it is unable to turn the door lock. I'm able to drive the car with the fob in the ignition but I can't lock the door, which is a pretty bad situation to be in. Was I given the wrong key? Would the wrong fob still turn the car on if it is stuck in the ignition? Do I have the wrong key inside of the correct fob? Any clues on how I can get this thing to work?
Thanks in advance.
