I spoke with H&R this morning to see if I could get more info. Take it with a grain of salt, but I was told that for the 29001-1 and 29001-3 kits, the front springs are now identical. For the rear springs, however, they told me that they are in fact different and that the 29001-3 rear spring is the proper one to use with the US SQ5. I guess that at least confirms what stanbSQ5 had in his picture.

Either way, I ordered the -3 kit, so I'll report back on whether my results are the same as RUSSQ's.

Fwiw that is my current setup. H&R sent replacement front -1 springs and I left the -3s on the rear.

Has been perfect since

I guess they finally listened to you guys and officially updated the parts! I've got the proper component part numbers, so I'll confirm once I receive them and also post installation results.

Based on the dozens of threads I've seen with people stating to order the -1's, I ordered the 29001-1 from ECS Tuning and received them today.

Part #'s and markings on the springs are as follows...

Rears

H&R Z/T
KBA 91183
29001 HA (R)

Fronts

H&R Q/S
KBA 91183
29001 VA (F)

Based on the other picture in this thread, the Z/T doesn't match up. :| I guess I will see what happens when I put them on. Perhaps H&R finally got it together and provides the right springs with the 29001-3 kit for the US SQ5. What I DON'T want to do is put these on and have them not provide the correct drop or spring rates for my SQ5.

Based on H&R's application chart, the 29001-1 springs are for the Audi Q5 Prestige, Premium and Premium Plus and lower 1.6 front and 1.5 rear.

The 29001-3 are for the SQ5 and lower 1.0 front .8 rear.

Based on the assumption that the 3.0 TFSI Q5 and SQ5 are essentially the same weight, etc... I don't know why they would have different springs other than stiffer rates on the SQ5 springs. Does anyone know if the SQ5 has different shocks/struts than the Q5?

I'm reviving this old thread one more time for an update on everyone's favorite topic, H&R 29001-1 vs 29001-3. I had my 29001-3 springs installed over the weekend and got what I believe are the same results as RUSSQ with an even 2" drop all the way around. Maybe my tape measure is off, but my starting point was about 32.5" both front and rear, and post-install it appears to be about 30.5" after 100 miles of driving. I stupidly forgot to verify the part numbers before they went on, but per H&R, the 29001-3 kit is now the 29001-1 front springs and SQ5-specific rear springs and should match what stanbSQ5 posted a picture of.

H&R's website says the -3 kit will give a drop of 1.0 (front) and 0.80 (rear). Why are people's actual numbers so much different?

I believe that's versus the Euro SQ5 stock height.

I also installed H&R springs on my 2015 SQ5 this weekend... Part #'s posted above. I installed the 29001-1's from ECS Tuning and the results from ground to metal fender on all 4 corners are in the 30.5" to 31" range.
