Default Head light wiring issues?!?... Q5 2010-ish

Hi all, I have a set of Q5 head lights on my sand car, and when I bought them they didnt come with the DTRL module inside the headlight. This is fine for me as I just want to activate the LED`s when I want on my own.
I have searched the forum and found lots of issues with the module in the light going bad, but since I want to activate it with a toggle switch with other driving lights, I wont need it.
So, I assume they are around 9volt?
but what one is ground?
I realize they are LED and work only one way.. IE power applied to one side will light the led and not, when applied in reverse, I have tried every combination and cannot get them to light up...
I know the basics when it comes to wiring, I`ve wired the headlights in and everything else works fine. Its just the DTRL dont illuminate... I really dont want to cook the light to get it to come apart and actually look at the LED and test them, SOoooo I was wondering if anyone had a headlight wire diagram of the internal wires of the headlight?
It seems all the internal wires are black! tricky tricky..
In other words I want to bypass the module...

I believe the led are wired in series, not 100% sure on the q5 but most led's are. So if 1 led is burnt, the whole line up will not work because the electrical current is lost.
