Default Heated seat not so hot?

I hear Audi turned down the heated seats for 10,11,12 model years.. and I've read in a few places there is a fix for the heated seats that barely work... what exactly did your dealer do to fix this?

i've been told, here and by my service rep, no fix for 2011 model year. Other years may vary.

I used the seat heaters in my wifes 10' Q5 for the first time this past weekend and was disappointed in the amount of heat. My Denali seat heaters will make you sweat when on high. I was hoping for the same in the Q for those chilly mornings. I doubt there could be a fix as it is probably a fixed wattage output to those heaters. just a quess.

There was a fix for the '12s - made a dramatic difference.

Default heated seats

I have 2014 confort seats in an SQ5. Seat bottoms heat fairly well, backs poorly; cooling is the same. Compared to my BMWs they don't work well - been checked by dealer who says they are operating fine. Oh well.

my '15 SQ5 w/ventilated seats has an issue also. you can't feel any heat on level 1 or 2.

My 2014 SQ5 sport seats get way too hot on high, maybe too hot on medium, and can barely feel them on low. Audi may have BMW beat in interior design and looks, but not in electronic functionality.

That's my experience too with my 2014.

Keep in mind, the temps will vary (and even turn off periodically) depending on how much heat is sensed under your body. This is to protect the elements from burning out.

I'm pretty pleased with the ones in my 2012. Way better than the ones in either my Jaguar or 535i. With these, I can actually feel the warmth on the back as well as the bottom. On the other two it only seems to warm on the bottom
