Help with memory seats and key programming...
I have the key memory turned on in the MMI. As you know, the key will keep the last setting the seat was at when the car was driven with that key. Usually this corresponds to the Memory settings on the door (but is really unrelated).
Problem is this:
My wife drives the car and the seat is at her setting. No problem.
I walk up and get in, the seat adjusts to MY settings. No problem.
BUT, when my wife rides with me and she has her purse (with her key in it)...when the car is then shut off, her key is also saving that last setting...so when she gets it again, it's at my setting and they key isn't fixing it because my setting was the last setting is saw.
Any ideas on how to prevent this?
If she doesn't have her purse when we ride together, and then she goes to drive the car, it will adjust back to her setting as intended. It's only when she has the key in the car with us BOTH.

The seat setting is saved when the car is locked. If possible try having her key out of range when you lock the car with your seat adjustments.
Not really a fix though.
