Default Help with tires

Folks need your help in deciding summer tires for my 2013 premium plus Q5. I already have 18" bridgestone winter tires so not worried about snow. I live in CNY.

I am trying to pick one among these:

Pirelli*Scorpion Verde All Season Plus

Continental*TrueContact

Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology

Which one do you suggest? Read good and bad reviews about both which is making my decision difficult.

Thanks!

I have Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus with 1200 miles way better than the stock Goodyear and much less road noise. Good traction in light snow, two trips to Tahoe, and very good grip in rain. Recommend it.

Even I am inclined with pirelli but am worried about wet traction.

I'm planning on trying the Michelin Premier LTX when need be. They're rated so high in every category. OP, why not consider those?

Just curious, why All Seasons for summer?

I have learned on my Cayenne and now the wife's Q5 that there are definitely reasons to have dedicated summer and winter tires.

Put the Goodyear Excellence summers tires that came on our S-line TDI back on and I do NOT know why these tires have such a poor rep. There is an S-curve a few miles from here out in the middle of nowhere that is marked 35mph. No one around, I took it at 70 and I am reasonably certain I could have done it at 90. The Nitto Motivos were OK but Max-Ultra-High-Perf summer tires are rated that way for a reason . . . and if you have dedicated snows the lower UTQG will still get you by for several [1/2] years.

Just food for thought is all . . .

Yes, the Michelin LTX ratings look pretty convincing. I live on the coast in northern California and dry and especially wet weather traction is what is important here. No snow.

I have been running a lot of Cooper Tires on my F150 and our BMW 325 Wagon since my buddy is a dealer. We have liked those and will have to see if they have something competitive.
