Call me racist (or whatever you want).. but I prefer my German cars to be GERMAN.. Not because I don't like Mexico or Mexicans, but because I like German things..

Aisin, who supplies the current NA market Tiguan/Q3 6 speed auto has an 8 speed setup that Lexus is using in the RX. Supplies must be limited right now because only the F Sport variant has it. Volvo will supposedly use it as well, so I imagine we'll see it trickle down to VW and if Audi doesn't want to use a dual clutch, to them as well.

ZF has the 9HP available for transverse applications but I haven't seen a VAG vehicle use it.
