How many times has your TPMS been tripped?
Before I bought my Q5 in 2012 I had gotten my tire patched only once in 15 years of driving. Now on the Q5, I've gotten all 4 tires patched in the past 3 years. Are you guys experiencing higher-than-normal rate of slow leaks on your Q5? 2 tires have gotten nails which I had patched even though they weren't leaking air, the 3rd tire had a deep nail puncture which was leaking air and the 4th had to get the rim resealed. I wash my wheels at least once a month, so I don't know how the seal went bad.
On a side note, all 4 tires are still at 8/32" tread after 3 years and 40,000 miles. I'm pretty happy with the tread life on the OEM Michelins.

I've had my tires patched 3 times. The tires are pretty sticky so they pick up a ton of debris. You really can't blame the car or tire if you pick up a nail. That's just bad luck.
Luckily the tires I have on, Bridgestones, are showing great tread life are very smooth. Also the car still tracks like a tank and needs no alignment after 16k miles.

Mine has gone off 3 times in 35k miles - Once for a legit leaking tire: I somehow ran over a door hinge pin and it created a pretty hefty leak. I've seen all kinds of tire punctures, but a 4-5" long, blunt end metal rod somehow hitting things just right/wrong is crazy to me...but I digress.
The other 2 times were both falses while driving in heavy snow storms. Heavy dense snow can pack and stick to the tire tread while moving slow and change the tire rolling diameter. That's my theory anyway as I watched it happening to other cars.

Just once. The car was barely a couple of weeks old when it picked up something. I heard a clunk from a wheel well and before I could say what the f$%^ was that? The TPMS told me I had a problem. Whatever it was left a hole in the tread which was patched and, knock on wood, hasn't had a problem since. Steve
