How much for Opticoat?

Opticoat is $80 through most detailing websites.

It's easy enough to apply and you can usually treat 2 cars with it plus your wheels.
LOL at anyone paying over $200 to have their car done.

Personally, I wouldn't DIY it. Also, I wouldn't bother applying it unless the finish was properly prepped. So for me, the cost would be worth it. Different strokes.

I assume Opti-Coat is the same as what I had applied to my car called Cilajet. It was applied to the interior, exterior, rims and came with a 10 year warranty.

Opti-Coat 2.0 for DIY is very different than what professional detailer's use which is Opt-Coat Pro...
Excerpt from another site (AllureDetailing) comparing the 2 products:
"Opti-Coat Pro offers more protection against a more varied array of chemicals and contaminants and is a much more concentrated formula.Due to the concentration Opti-Coat Pro will be much thicker which can take more damage without penetrating the paint system. The prepolymer resin used to create Opti-Coat Pro is also more Expensive and more complicated to manufacture. Opti-Coat Pro also ships with a special Primer Polish that Prepares the surface for the coating and is not available to non Pros. Not to knock Opti-Coat 2.0 By any means , but they are not the same at all...Opti-Coat Pro came first and Opti-Coat 2.0 is the newer product made specifically for the demand of a consumer version. Opti-Coat Pro used to be called “Opti Guard” before that name was set to distinguish the pro only interior coating.”

Be sure that when you commission a detailer to apply Opti-coat, that you're getting "PRO" and not "2.0".
I had the PRO installed on my 1month old SQ5 for $450(CAD). Minimal paint correction was required.
I decided to go with the PRO over any other type of wax/sealant because I wanted to wash my car guilt-free in touch-less washes over the winter. (Traditional waxes can get stripped by the harsh chemicals in some touch-less washes)
Car still looks like new after 1 winter of weekly touch-less car washes, even after forgoing my usual springtime polish/waxing.
