I was checking the online builder for 2015 SQ5 and accidentally noticed the MMI control is moved to central console. Can someone confirm is this true?

And is this a good timing to buy a SQ5? I am worried about SQ5 will be replaced by new model soon.

This is exactly what my MY14 SQ5 looks like. My opinion on buying an SQ5 is that you should either do it now (14 or 15), or wait until 2018. Beginning with the MY16 model, they will be made at the new plant in Mexico. So...new model design...new plant...Mexico, not Germany. Hhmmm...
