Did it make a big difference? How long did it take you to install? What do you mean the power and the grounding is just below?

It makes a HUGE difference. It took me less than two hours to install, primarily because no long-run wires are needed - everything is within 1 foot of the sub. Someone with more experience than me could have done this in 15 minutes.

Of particular importance is that no panels need to be removed to install this - everything is readily accessible.

Sirius content is highly compressed. It's going to sound like crap, regardless. Actually the better the audio system, the more it'll reveal sirius shortcomings. And fm is well... fm - low quality again.

volume adjusted bitrates,
What is that? Did you mean variable bit rate?

True. Some channels sound better than other, but generally, not the best. Lucky for me I'm a newshound, and I listen to spoken word / news channels most of the time.

any music will be high bitrate AAC or MP3s at 192 bitrate or better, and with loudness or volume tweaked up on them like by 20 percent.

Why would you do that? Most songs are already normalized, meaning they are at max volume without any clipping. If you bump it by 20%, all you're introducing is clipping and distortion.

Download and rip sometimes crappy music like I do, and it helps. For the most part, the music files are just as they come from the iTunes store, so no mucking about with the file (i do turn off sound limiter on my iPod).

I guess there is that, then. Although, since I bought used, it's all in the mix, so to speak.

I have found that streaming Sirius from my iPhone via the app yields better sound quality. We pay for Sirius in my wife's car but not in my SQ5 - instead we just pay the smaller fee for web/app access.

I know BT streaming is not great, but IMHO, pandora and Sirius over BT sound much better than Sirius via satellite radio.

Just look at my signature picture.
All of that stuff is in my S6, and not a single issue whatsoever.
My dealer loves it. They think I have the coolest car on earth.

The mObridge is simple to install. Just unplug the MOST cable from the Audi amplifier, and clip it into the mObridge. DONE. No cutting, no splicing, just a direct plug & play.
Want to go back to stock? Just plug it back in. Simple as that.
