We're happy to announce that we've just launched our own new Carista OBD adapter, to be used with the Carista app on both Android and iOS!
This is a unique device that uses a hybrid Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Bluetooth 2.1 connection. The Bluetooth 4.0 LE connection allows it to work with iOS, unlike all the generic Bluetooth adapters out there. By using Bluetooth, the device ensures that you have an uninterrupted internet connection (unlike WiFi devices).
This device is guaranteed to work with the Carista app, including its Audi-specific customizations and advanced diagnostics. No more guessing which device on ebay or amazon is fake and which will work! Just get the Carista device and be sure that it will work.
There's no limit to the number of vehicles or phones that you can use this device with, as long as they're compatible with the Carista app.
The Carista OBD adapter works with other apps on Android as well: Torque, DashCommand, etc. It does NOT work with other apps on iOS due to the proprietary communication that Apple forces on us.

We're gonna do a separate thread when it's approved, but yes, needle sweep for the Q5 is in there, footwell/ambient lighting as well, and a few other minor things. Actually, the biggest addition is BMW and Mini support. So if any of you guys also have an 03/2007 or newer BMW or Mini, please give it a try! Rolls Royce is also unofficially supported You don't have to pay anything extra if you already have our Pro Package.
Start/stop customizations are not implemented yet. Do you have a car with that feature? We'd love it if you could test some new settings for us in the near future
Turned on needle sweep and foot well lights. Otherwise it was pretty much the same as before.
The new app supports the Carista dongle.

The new version also includes a setting to enable the MMI "hidden menu", seat belt ding, and some others that I can't remember, plus some communication improvements and bug fixes.
Oh, and the big thing: it adds BMW & Mini support! If you have a BMW or Mini besides your Audi, you can use the app with them without any additional payment.
