Default iPhone Bluetooth Connection Problem

I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 and have noticed some strange behavior with my 2013 Q5. I was hoping it was poor reception but I would make a call and after 10-20 seconds (approximately) the audio would stop coming through the car speakers. Then when the call dropped the MMI kept showing the call was in progress. The MMI locked up and would not respond when I hit all the different buttons to end the call. I could go to nav media etc and they all worked fine. Even after restarting the car, un-pairing, re-pairing the phone, forgetting the device on the phone and upgrading to iOS 8.0.2, the MMI still gets stuck in "call in progress" mode without the possibility to do anything besides disconnect Bluetooth. I can still stream podcasts.

Any suggestions? Am I missing something here?

Thanks for your help

Be careful when resetting the iPhone as it will delete all of your data in the cloud...
