Default kufatec comfort hatch module wiring for 2010 Q5

I bought this module for my hatch and it didn't come in color wire but grey wire with number and letter.. I try many time calling kufatec and they keep giving me the run around.

Hey Kufatec! If you see this posting,
Update your instruction guide A Sap!!!

Here it is:

CAN LOW - PIN 7 Orange/Brown
CAN HIGH - PIN 3 Orange/Green
GRUN - PIN 5 Green/Yellow
BRAUN - PIN 4 Brown
RoD - PIN 8 Red/Blue

the words is on the grey wire you need real good eyes to see it.

Hope this helps.

Mak

We're you able to get it to work?

I just tried installing one in my 2012 Q5 today with no luck. Kufatec did say they had not tested in on the 2012 yet but I figured I would give it a shot. So either it's not compatible or I got a bad unit.

I agree their instructions leave a lot to be desired. I had to email them about the mismatch in colors and writing on the wires.

so this works on the 2011?
I didn't realize you couldn't close the hatch with the remote or the switch in the drivers side door. Thats really dumb. So far its my only complaint about this car. I love driving this thing. I find myself looking for excuses to go somewhere!

From what I have read the only way to get that functionality on the Q5 (any year) is to add the Kufatec module.

Yep, color code/text posted matched what Kufatec support provided me via email. Hooked it up per their directions and got nothing. Checked the connections multiple times so either the module itself was bad or it isn't compatible with the 2012 Q5 for some reason.

I will probably just return the unit either way because the installation is such a pain I don't feel like messing with it anymore.

You guys are pressing the lock car button twice to make it close right? OR you guys are pressing the unlock car button twice as in 2 times to close it right?
I just want to check this with you because when I first installed it in my Q7 I was trying to close it by pressing the open tailgate button twice to close it which was... no use, wrong, incorrect, pointless, not a function. Yes that is getting on for about how many times i tried it. I have to confess I even uninstalled completely and started over as it didnt work only to discover I was pressing the wrong button DOH!

Oh trust me I tried all the various combinations to get some sign of life from the module.

Anyway if you flash the Green and Yellow to ground to trigger it with an extension wire it will close. So, all you really need is a big long wire running to a little button (to ground) under your dash somewhere so you can do it from the drivers seat..... according to other members here OK!
