Default MMI or Non-MMI....

How do I know if my 2013 Q5 is MMI or not?

It does not have Nav or backup, but the a/c and heat controls do show up on the display, along with some other stuff...

All Audis these days have MMI (at least all the ones available in the US/Canada), as that's just the interface used for the center display (the car's OS, basically). However, most people (around here at least) use "MMI" as shorthand for meaning the level of MMI that includes nav ("MMI high" or whatever vs. just "MMI"). So for the "true" definition, yes you have MMI, but for the colloquial definition, no you don't... helpful, I know.

If there's something more specific you're looking to get the info for, someone can probably help on whether a non-nav system will work with whatever you're trying to do.

yes and thanks.....

some of the other have been very helpful for adding a backup camera and Nav.....

The Dynavin unit rellay seems to be the winner in this area.

Scratching head but here in the Colonies, you have what Audi and the rest of us call an "AMI" system, not MMI, unless you have nav and backup camera and other goodies. The MMI system would have more capabilities and physical differences (like two SDHC card slots and the ability to have a SIM card put in for direct cellular data connections) while the AMI system does not.

AMI - Audi music interface

FYI there is a version MMI navigation 3GP without AMI. AMI is an additional option

AMI is the iPod interface in the glove box. You can have a concert radio but it still has an MMI interface. Just no Nav. It does also have the SDHC card slots for music files.
