Hello guys,

This one I am quite stumped over. I have the standard (non Bose) sound system, with the double SD card slots... I like to download hour long podcasts onto an SD card and listen to them while driving. Sometimes my journey ends before I finish listening to the podcast and I would like it to resume from where I last listened. Sometimes it resumes, but other times it starts right from the beginning... No fun if I've already listened to say, 45 mins. worth of yapping and have to listen to it all over again... I've not been able to find a fast forward function for mp3 playback either.

Do you guys know what the secret is (or rather what combination of settings must be in place) for the mp3 resume to work? It's one thing for a 3 minute song to start over, quite another for a hour long podcast...

My current hack is to split an hour long mp3 into 5 min. chunks...

Push and hold the volume **** in center console either to the right (to fast forward) or to the left (to rewind). I think doing the same with the main MMI control **** does the same thing. This is described in the MMI operating manual, by the way. I've got a lot of 2-hour long mixes on my SD card, so I use this feature quite often.

As far as resume, mine always seems to resume on its own, so I don't know why yours sometimes doesn't.
