No, using the red grommet AMI cable or the new lightning "AD" cable, only video files formatted per Audi's MMI Nav Plus spec, i.e. H.264/mp4/mp4v from iTunes, with resolution up to 720x576px, up to 25FPS, with bit rates up to 2000kbit/sec will play. On SDHC, DVD, USB and Jukebox, MPEG-1 and 2, DiVX, Xvid, H.264/MP4, AVI and WMV9 are supported with the same res specs above. Netflix and other videos would first have to be converted to one of the supported formats and specs on your computer to work. Also, internet video streaming is not supported by the MMI.

I just purchased a VW part# 000-051-446-Q. Mu Audi dealer is also a VW dealer. The parts guy told me that the Audi part has not been released in US yet,and he had not been given a expected release date, but that the VW part works. As to specifics, my vehicle is a 2014 allroad Premium with the Audi Concert system (2G). I plugged it in and it works better than the 30pin cable connected via the Apple 30pin/lightning adapter cable. It just seems faster when scrolling on the stereo, and when songs are selected on the iPhone itself it seems to work better too, as well as Pandora. I suspect this is functionally the same part as the Audi #4F0051510AC for 2G and 3G. As to whether it is compatible with the 3G+...someone else will have to answer that. But if the only thing you lose is album covers, that might be a good tradeoff for better operation for $65.

As previously reported, the MMI 3G+ will need the 4F0051510AD version which supposedly will also pass video from a Lightning connector. It should also pass album cover art.
