Well, I got the cable and my phone. It charges and plays songs stored on the phone like the last one.

Never have gotten any Bluetooth streaming music to play from my phone to my car. And is there some trick to get other music sources from the phone to play while plugged in such as Pandora or the NPR apps?

Not through the AMI cable, only via Bluetooth Audio streaming. You can't have Bluetooth Audio activated in the MMI and the AMI cable connected at the same time on the same device - the MMI will be confused which to use. Try unplugging the iPhone from the AMI and ensuring the Bluetooth Audio is selected in the Tel>Settings>Bluetooth menu. The phone, of course, must be paired with the car's Bluetooth. It should then work.

A workaround to avoid plugging and unplugging and changing Bluetooth Audio settings that I use is my iPhone is paired for tel and Bluetooth Audio and an older iPod in the console for the AMI source. Then I can select either source in the MMI.

This is what I do as well. Works perfect.

I don't have the "Bluetooth Audio" option. Perhaps that didn't come until after the 2011 model year?

For those of you that actually have been able to obtain the 4F0051510AD cable in the US, can I ask where you're we able to buy it? All the dealers here in the Chicago area keep saying they are "awaiting supplier release"
